There is a problem with disc 4 of the Tylor DVDs. It appears that when the DLT master was prepared prior to pressing, that a chapter (about 5 min from Episode 23) was left off of the final discs. People are understandably upset. This chapter is NOT on the disc and there is no way to access it indirectly, so we will have to replace the disc. The check disc was correct, so it came to us as a surprise that there was a problem. Please note that the problem was discovered on Saturday, so it took us a bit to trace backward until we figured out what happened. Here's what we are going to do about it: If you bought the set or disc 4 directly from us: You will automatically receive a replacement disc 4 at no charge. No action is required on the your part, other than to watch your mailbox for the replacement. Please see below for timeframe. If you bought the set or disc 4 from someone else: Send your *original* sales receipt plus $3.50 for handling per replacement disc to the address below. If you don't have the *original* receipt, you can return the disc itself (not the whole plastic amaray case, just the disc), along with the $3.50. Photocopies of sales receipts will not be accepted unless they come back with the original disc. The cost is the same whether the customer is in the US or Zimbabwe. $3.50. Period. We're not going to penalize customers outside the US. Shipping will be by mail or small packet airmail. Until the replacement discs arrive, we will still be shipping out the box sets with the old discs in them. Once the new discs arrive, we'll replace all of the #4s in the remaining inventory and take care of the customers who ordered direct first. Then we will fulfill all replacement requests from the field. Note: it is impossible for us to recall all discs from the field. There are many disc 4s out there from box sets already shipped. Customers will need to send in the receipt and/or disc plus the handling charge to get their disc replaced. The new disc 4s will have a distinctive marking on them, likely on the silkscreen. They will come in a paper sleeve, so you can take it out and pop it into your existing Amaray box. All we ask is that you donate the "defective" disc to a local charity or library. This will allow other people to experience Tylor, perhaps people who would not have been able to do so otherwise. Allow at least 6 weeks for delivery. We know that you will want an immediate replacement.. however, this is the procedure which we are following to make sure everything is taken care of: We have to redo the DLT DVD master to correct the problem (this is done). We need to make a check disc off of the new master and watch it to make sure that the error was corrected PRIOR to new replication. Otherwise we end up sending out more bad discs. This would be really bad. (check disc is currently enroute to me). We have to replicate new discs (at least 10 days). We have to ship them here to our facility. We have to individually pack and ship them to everyone who needs a replacement. So, you can see why it will take a few weeks to make this happen; we will take care of all replacements as quickly as possible. --- If you have Tylor on order somewhere: don't cancel your order, as this will simply mean it will be that much longer before you can see Tylor. You might as well just get the discs and send in for the replacement. It may be a while to work through all of the discs in the field which need to be replaced, and we logistically can't get everything back from retail. Get your set, enjoy Tylor, and send in your receipt for the replacement. If you haven't ordered the set yet, you can order from TRSI and they you will automatically get a replacement disc when it becomes available at no charge. Offer redemption: The Right Stuf Inc.
