There may be spoilers ahead, do not read unless you have watched a considerable share of the series mentioned
Bugrom: The English names seem to be those of the Marx brothers. I do not know what the Japanese names were, but I could infer from the English names that they may be adapted as the the US's equivalent of a popular Japanese slapstic comedy troupe. I need to research this.
Second OVA Series: In order to fit the second OVA series into the first, it seems to assume that a good deal of time between Ifurita's destruction of the Eye of God and Makoto's return to Earth. This seems to fit as Makoto looks a few years older when he does return in the end of the original OVA.
The Alternative World: This one seems a bit tricky, but the El Hazard-world timeline seems to allow it to fit before or after the second OVA series. They don't really say what the second alternate world is, but at the very least, it appears to be the final destination of the Eye of God that Ifurita destroyed. I think it could be El Hazard in the distant future, as the insects did seem to be Katsuo's distant relatives.
Wanderers As I've said before, this one doesn't really seem to fit. Fatora isn't in this one, while she is in all the others.
Wanderers follows the same often-used path of reformulating the characters into alternate timelines or alternate universes. Although AIC isn't the only animation company accused of doing this, they seem to do it the most often. The original OVA series and the Wanderers are obviously separate universes because they drastically change the initial events, how the priestesses are introduced, they change some personalities and so on.
